Republic Services offers three sizes of black trash carts.  Your trash service fee is based upon the size trash cart you select.

Place all materials inside the proper carts and make sure that the lids are closed to prevent littering and to protect the contents from weather and pests. 

Trash placed outside of your cart will be subject to an extra collection charge. If you have extra trash that does not fit in your trash cart, please contact Republic Services in advance of your service day for a larger cart or to buy special trash bags at a discounted price.   For larger volumes of materials consider using one of your free annual yard waste or landfill passes.

Collection Service Day and Time

Trash, recycling and yard waste will be collected any time between 7 am and 6 pm on service days.  All containers should be placed at the curb by 7 am.  Empty containers must be removed from the curb by 8 pm. Visit Republic Services to view your pick up schedule.

 

Holidays

If your scheduled service day falls on or after a holiday, then your service day may be delayed by one day.  For all other holidays, your service will be on schedule.

Proper Container Placement

Place your carts in the street with the wheels against the curb and the arrow on the lid pointing toward the street.  The lid must be closed.  Leave at least 1 1/2 feet between your trash, yard waste and recycling containers so the automated collection equipment can easily pick up the containers.  As a courtesy, please do not park your car in front of containers.  If possible, park off the street on your scheduled service day.

Please contact Republic Services at (619) 421-9400 for disposal of the following items (do NOT dispose of them in the trash!):

• Dirt, rocks and concrete
• Hot ashes
• Household hazardous waste
• Debris from construction, remodeling or demolition
