Veterans Park Community Center is a 16,000 sq. ft. recreation center located along the north side of East Palomar Street within the Sunbow subdivision. Built in 2005, Veterans Park Community Center includes a gym, multi-purpose room, annex, dance room, and game room.
The community center provides comprehensive recreational programs and services. This includes an array of dance classes, fitness classes, sports classes, arts & crafts classes, music classes, preschool age classes, and more. The center offers a variety of special events such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Halloween celebrations.
The community center is also home for the Teen Services division where teens can partake in activities such as extreme dodgeball, video game tournaments, and other social events.
A daily open gym schedule is available that consist of drop-in play for daily basketball and/or volleyball. The game room is open during afternoon normal hours of operation for drop-in play. Activities include billiards, foosball, table tennis, and an assortment of board games.
There are rooms available to rent for public or private meetings, birthdays, graduations, etc. on an hourly basis. The Annex can accommodate up to 100 guests. The dance room can be rented for personal dance instruction or practices. The gymnasium is also available for groups to rent for athletic activities.
