Built in 1980, the Parkway Community Center features a small gymnasium, a judo room, and two meeting rooms. Most programs and drop-in activities primarily attract participants in all age groups.

Parkway Gymnasium is located at the west end of the Parkway Recreation Complex. It has a 10,000 square foot gym with one full size court and two side full courts.

The Parkway Community Center was voted "Best Recreation Center" 2009, 2010, 2013, 2019, and 2020 for the South County of the San Diego region. This includes areas of San Diego, National City, Eastlake, Chula Vista and the south San Diego County areas.

Rental Information

Parkway Community Center has many opportunities to meet your facility use needs. We have rooms available for meetings and events.

For a more efficient process in reserving a facility fill out the following forms and bring them with you when you make your reservation. All reservations are made at the office of the recreation facility that you are reserving.

Once application is approved, you will need to secure your date with $100.00 non-refundable payment that will go towards your rental fees. The final fee payment is due 21 days prior to your event.

You must include set up/take down times in your rental request. You will not be permitted to enter room until start of rental. Tables and chairs are included.

ASPIRE - Free Afterschool Program

ASPIRE (After School Program in Recreation Enrichment)

ASPIRE afterschool programs are designed to provide a “safe haven” for youth ages 5-16 during the two to three hours immediately following the close of the school day until parental supervision resumes later in the afternoon/early evening. Activities may be formal (organized) or informal (drop-in) and hours vary by center and school schedules.
